I had another great opportunity to spend time at another WhatWorksDubai conference and the topic today (18 April 2016) was about being a Global Citizen.
The highlight for me was listening to Graham Brown-Martin (Twitter @GrahamBM ) talking about changing the way not only our children learn but how we can support the global future of children whether as parents or teachers. He is an incredible fascinating influencer and the team at KHDA bringing him in was an honor for me.
Look outside of your own box as educators and parents and look around you for people that can help you with your children.
I found a lot. Just keep looking for those opportunities. You might even make a new friend along the way! 🙂
Another amazing publication from TEACHUAE and I have been very lucky to continue to contribute to their amazing magazine. This isn’t just about teachers – this is about engaging parents in not only a child’s education but how to help develop that bond that offers the opportunity for our children to be successful in whatever way they feel is important to them. Take a look and check out their editions. And don’t forget to look at Page 46 for #ArabBaba tips!
When I was interviewed by our friends at Gulf News about being a Stay at Home Baba, I didn’t think that much of it aside from a side little blurb about my role. What I didn’t realize was they were going to do a full page on parenting, the change of roles in today’s society and also the psychology behind ‘role reversal’.
I was even fascinated reading different people’s thoughts. But most importantly it made me appreciate the fact that the #UAE looks at every sector and every contribution of its society. The news is able to report on various areas and people that make up this amazing country. Well done to the #UAE and to GulfNews
